OUR HISTORY
HELPING FAMILIES AND RESTORING HOMES IS IN OUR BLOOD
Through three generations, our family has served the Rochester, NY community by providing emergency response and property restoration, starting with our grandfather Salvatore “Sam” Muoio. Sam spent most of his career as a Lieutenant with the Rochester City Fire Department at Engine Company 9 on Parsells Avenue, focusing on fire prevention and fire safety education within the community. When he was not at the fire station, he was maintaining and rehabing dozens of homes throughout the city, providing safe and comfortable housing for his tenants,neighbors, and friends. His passion for serving Rochester and restoring damaged properties was passed down to his son, Bill, and later to his grandson and founder, Chris Muoio.
After more than two decades as a master carpenter and general contractor providing complete home remodeling and complex structural repairs of damaged properties, Chris and his wife Dayna founded Rochester Fire Restoration in 2021 with the goal of delivering full-service fire, water, and mold remediation and emergency services and complete reconstruction for homes and businesses throughout Monroe County and surrounding areas.
Today they not only aim to continue grandpa Sam’s legacy of service to the local community, but to remain true to the values that he instilled in his family so many years ago – honesty, integrity, and pride in a job well done.

Peanut butter and jelly, chips and dip, Buffalo wings and the Buffalo Bills…you can’t have one without the other. Like all of these (arguably) perfect pairings, Chris and Dayna Muoio, the founders of Rochester Fire Restoration work together to further our mission and vision of helping families and businesses restore peace of mind after a disaster.
While Chris heads up our mitigation, construction, and production teams, Dayna leads all things operations, business development, sales, and marketing.
Together, they share one common goal of ensuring that you’re not just satisfied with the final result of your restoration but that you feel good about your experience along the way. When these two aren’t responding to an emergency or helping customers through the recovery process, you can find them at home with their daughter Sophia, or out exploring local parks, scouring antique markets, or checking out the latest restaurants and pizza joints around town.
